Mess Free Finger Painting

Savannah and I tried a new activity this week; mess free finger painting! I put finger paints in a bag and let her squish them all around. It didn't last super long, but it was cute to see her try it. : ) I thought her fingers were just too cute so I wanted to share the photos with you all.

8 Amazing Months!

Savannah is 8 months old and is growing up so quickly! 2 weeks ago we noticed her 2 bottom teeth came through and luckily I caught a picture of them. She's also starting to crawl! She can get herself up on hands and knees but when she crawls it's a little more of an army crawl. Because of this change Johnny and I had to put up a baby gate on the stairs, redecorate a bit, and we have to keep a closer eye on where she is and what she's doing. We love her so much! Merry Christmas everyone, we are so excited to see you soon!

Uncle J Ran Through Henderson

In November Uncle Jason ran the Ragnar race with a group of people, so Savannah and I met him at a park to cheer him on!

Savy is Seven Months!

Savannah Jane is 7 months old! Johnny and I love watching her progress and meet milestones. Most recently she can sit straight up, she's trying to get herself up on all fours, and she eats all kinds of fruits and vegetables! She makes us laugh when she eats because she makes little grunting sounds with every bite. But I guess that helps her enjoy her food more, so to each their own, right? One thing that we're most happy about is that she can sign milk! Johnny noticed her signing it first and now there's no doubt that her first sign is milk. Atta girl Savy Jane!
7 months baby girl!

Look at her sitting up straight!
Such a little lady with her ankles crossed.

This is one of my favorite faces she makes because I love how her cheeks are so kissy!

Happy Halloween Ya'll!

Oh, hello little fishy!

This one is my favorite!

Here she's flipping her little fin up and trying to grab it because it's so shiny!
Happy Halloween from Miss Savy! Johnny and I aren't real big Halloween goers and Savy is too young to even go trick or treating, but none the less I decided to make her a costume. So I made her a fish! I thought long and hard about what to dress her up as and happily settled on a fish because when she lays on her belly and kicks her legs I think she looks like she's swimming. I call her my little fishy and ask her where she's swimming to. My mom helped me with some of the sewing and I think it turned out pretty cute! So here's a treat for all of you this Halloween!

Grandma Tracy Came to Visit!

My mom came down last week for a few days just for a fun visit. While she was here we went shopping, out to dinner, made dinner, and we went to Friendly Donuts. Friendly Donuts is a little mom & pop donut shop here in Henderson that makes marvelous donuts! If any of you come visit it will be a must see while you're here! Thanks for spending your time with us Mom, we loved having you here and showing you how we do life. : )

Happy 6 Months Baby Girl!

Can you believe Miss Savannah Jane is 6 months old?! Johnny and I have been her parents for 6 months and continue to love every day of it! : ) We're very grateful for Savy in our lives. This Tuesday she had her 6 month check up and here are her stats: Weight: 17 pounds 10 ounces in the 75th percentile and height: 27 1/4 inches long in the 90th percentile. Here are her 6 month old photos; enjoy!

She's trying to sit up on her own!

And she quickly tipped over!

Savannah Jane is 5 Months!

Here are Savy's 5 month pictures. It's always fun trying to get her to smile and capture the picture right at the perfect time. I was sitting there with the camera ready while Johnny was right behind me making Savannah smile. I think we got some good ones! I hope they make you smile when you see them!

Hello beautiful girl!
She's starting to take an interest in her little giraffe friend and notice it's the pictures with her.

This was at the end of her patience! She had had it, so she tipped over and pulled her headband down. I had to add it. : )

After the inside pictures we went out to our little park because going outside is one of Savannah's favorite things! It almost always calms her down if she's fussy. Here are some pictures from that.

Savy loves when Johnny holds her like this because she sucks on his hands! It's kind of cute and she makes little slurpy noises.

Brandon & Tara Visited!

At the end of August Brandon, Tara, and Lacey spent 2 nights with us on their way moving up to Utah. We had been counting down the days until they came! Savannah loved Uncle Brandon and Aunt Tara being here! Not sure what she thought of Lacey, she didn't even react when Lacey licked her toes. Johnny and Brandon hung out on campus while Tara, Lacey, Savannah, and I went to the dog park and out to lunch. Then at nights we ate pizza and brownies and enjoyed each others company. We're so grateful you guys went out of your way to come stay with us!

Lacey wanted in on the fun too!

Our Baby Girl is 4 Months!

Here are the monthly pictures of Savannah on the 3rd of every month. Savannah had her 4 month check up and is 26 1/2 inches long, putting in the 98th percentile for height! (Can you say volleyball player?!) She weighs 14 pounds and 3 ounces, which is the 50th percentile. She had to get a few more shots and it broke mine and Johnny's heart to see her in pain! But she's doing great and is a healthy baby girl! I'm also adding the pictures of when she was born, 1 month, and 2 months for comparison. I hope these make  you smile!

This picture is a little blurry, but I love how happy she got with her little fists up by her face!

She's drooling in this one which is perfect because she loves to make bubbles and drool these days!

Parker Girls Party!

Uncle Johnny & Aunt Kelsey with all the Parker nieces and nephews! Notice how Maddie and Savy are twinners? : )

Grandma Tracy with Savy baby!

Angie & Maddie, Kelsey & Savannah, and Jenny & Beckham.

The oldest grandchild, Corbin and the youngest grandchild, Savannah.

Look at this squishy little girl! (Thanks to Grandma Marina and Aunt Natalie for the cute swimsuit and hat!)

Grandma Tracy, Jenny, Corbin, Parker, Beckham, Angie, and Maddie were all troopers and came to visit us for 3 days! We had dinner at our house, swam all day long, went around in the lazy river, painted nails, visited and loved it. I'm sure it was a lot of work to bring 3 crazy boys and a little girl all the way down in one car for a 7 hour road trip, but it meant a lot to us to have them here! Living far away from family is tough for different reasons, but I love that it means we can have you come stay with us for extended periods of time. Thanks the the 3 day party Parker girls! : )

Grandpa Groovy Comes to Henderson

We were lucky and had my dad, Grandpa Groovy, come for a night and visit. He was here in Vegas on business and we got to steal him for a night! It was fun to show him our town and have him in our home. We love you Grandpa Groovy!

Cactus Garden

Johnny and I made it a goal to visit all sorts of places while living in Henderson and explore our town. Yesterday Johnny had a day off school, so after he got all of his studying done we went to a cactus garden. It was actually quite beautiful and had several kinds of cacti! It was very hot outside, but we love being out and soaking up the vitamin D! Here are a few of our favorite pictures. Enjoy!

I love Savy's little eyes peeking over Johnny's shoulder!

Prickly pears! Johnny dared me to touch them but I couldn't quite bring myself to do it.

This is a saguaro cactus skeleton and you can see live ones behind it.
